Antimicrobials can harm the wound healing process as they activate bacterial defence systems and can be toxic to the tissue. The video provides two examples of wounds that have been worsened by antimicrobials, but where Amicapsil was able to achieve full closure. Both wounds occurred in persons with spinal cord injury.
